The Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca is a private, independent institution that represents the island’s tourism industry. It has promoted Mallorca for over a hundred years at a national and international level. It supports the media and focuses on high-quality, diverse, and sustainable tourism.
A Key Entity for Mallorca’s Tourism
Founded in 1905, the Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca was the first institution of its kind in Spain. For decades, The Fomento undertook the tourism promotion of the island, long before any public institutions took on this role.
Today, its role has evolved, but its essence remains the same: representing the interests of the private tourism industry, working independently, and actively contributing today and in the future to promote the destination.
