The new Luxury Boutique Cort Hotel opens in Palma’s old city

September 2013. The Cort Hotel has opened its doors on Palma’s main square, Plaza Cort, opposite Palma Town Hall’s historic building. The hotel’s red painted façade and original interior décor by award winning Spanish designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, offers a stylish cosmopolitan feel to the city’s latest luxury boutique hotel which is a total refurbishment of an existing building with 14 suites and 2 double rooms.

Many of the suites have balconies and some can be connected to other suites. Apart from the regular features associated with a luxury hotel, all rooms are equipped with a private “enoteca” a mini bodega and a docking station for a range of tablets, smart phones and other electronic devices. Other services include free Wi-Fi an IPAD preloaded with information on Palma and Mallorca to guide guests around during their stay.

The top “island suite” is a duplex suite with a roof top terrace, private Jacuzzi, sunbeds, views across Plaza Cort and the sea. This suite can also be connected to another 2 bedroom suites. Hotel guests can relax on the rooftop terrace with plunge pool where towel and pool bar service are available.

The Cort Hotel has one main bustling restaurant serving Mallorcan/Mediterranean cuisine serving food throughout the day with informal and formal areas and a large sitting area (140 seats) outside the hotel’s terrace in Plaza Cort. The main bar also features an oyster and cerviche preparation area. On the hotel’s mezzanine floor there is a private lounge bar with a balcony overlooking the restaurant and Plaza Cort for hotel guests. In addition, the hotel offers private dining/events room for up to 25 people.

Rates start at 170€ per room per night up to 850€ per suite per night in high season with special offers available throughout the initial opening period. Restaurant reservations are advisable.
